Housing - Annual Meeting 2019

The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) has appointed Experient as its official housing and registration company and has secured a block of hotel rooms near McCormick Place Lakeside Center. All housing is reserved through Experient for the AAP room block; hotels cannot accept accommodation requests made directly. Reservations will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A $14 per room per night fee is included in the room rates and will be paid to Experient.

Attendees must register for the meeting to secure housing. Room rates do not include the current tax per night of 16.4%.

Please review the cancellation policy for your hotel carefully. Changes and cancellations must be made before the cancellation deadline or you will lose your hotel deposit. Please refer to your housing confirmation for the cancellation policy for your selected hotel.

All registration fees, housing fees, and fees for ticketed sessions are charged in U.S. dollars.

Hotel Cancellations and Refunds

Experient will accept new reservation requests, changes, and cancellations until 5 p.m. EST, Oct. 4, 2019. From Oct. 4, 2019, reservation information will be transferred to the hotels. Beginning Oct. 16, 2019, please contact the hotels directly for changes, cancellations, and new reservations. Please refer to your booking confirmation for individual hotel cancellation policies.

Cancellations made after the cancellation deadline will result in forfeiture of the entire room deposit. Please note that hotel refunds are issued 30-90 business days after the last day of the Annual Meeting.

Refunds will be granted to registrants who submit written registration cancellation refund requests by Sept. 25, 2019, less the $75 administrative fee based on handling costs. Allow at least 7-14 business days for your refund to be processed once approved. Requests for refunds will not be accepted in any form after Sept. 25, 2019. Refer to the table below for timeframes and related administrative fees. The applicable rate is determined by the date the request is received by Experient.  No refunds will be issued on-site.
