This presentation will evaluate and identify those surgical protocols reporting positive clinical outcomes for treatment with 12 or more months of follow-up. It will review the advantages and limitations of currently used methods of treatment and present a step-by-step regenerative approach that has demonstrated high predictable success rates even for the treatment of the advanced peri-implantitis.

Educational Objectives:

  • Review current protocols in the treatment of peri-implantitis and recognize the advantages and limitations of each.
  • Identify successful surgical protocols in the treatment of peri-implantitis and discuss factors common to these treatments.
  • Describe a step-by-step successful regenerative surgical protocol with long-term follow-up and compare clinical outcomes with other techniques currently being used.
