Maintaining an anterior tooth with an advanced periodontal lesion is a desirable goal for all clinicians. But, what does one do when the tooth is highly questionable in its prognosis? Should traditional regenerative efforts be employed? Are laser-assisted options replacing traditional measures? Or given the high level of success with dental implants, should we abandon saving the tooth?
